The Buzz — Issue #75 · Beehive Homes of Huntingburg

A Weekly Newsletter People Look Forward To

The Buzz is a weekly community newsletter I design, write, and publish for Beehive Homes of Huntingburg. It has been published continuously since July 2023.

Each edition includes community events and announcements, the weekly dinner menu, a Bible verse, weekly weather from the Farmer's Almanac, devotional content, resident features, and a sponsored business spotlight.

The Buzz reaches residents, their families, and staff — a tight-knit community of people who read it carefully and share it across generations.

It is published in two formats every week: a print-ready edition designed for posting on community bulletin boards, and a digital share edition distributed to families and staff.

A Consistent Presence In The Community

Every edition of The Buzz includes a Hive Community Sponsor placement — a designed card that places your business name in front of readers in both the print and digital editions.

The Buzz Issue #75 — Hive Highlights with sponsor placement

The Hive Community Sponsor Card

The sponsor placement appears on the Hive Highlights page — the back page of every print edition. It is one of the most-read sections of the newsletter because it also includes community birthdays, the joke of the week, and the show-and-tell invitation.

Your placement includes your business name, a short description, contact information, and any tagline or message you'd like to share with the community.

The same card appears in the digital edition, which is distributed to families and staff every week.

Included in both the print and digital edition of every issue.

More Than Advertising.
Community Support.

Businesses sponsor The Buzz because it offers something traditional advertising rarely does — a genuine connection to a community that reads carefully, shares widely, and remembers who shows up for them.

Community Support

Sponsoring The Buzz helps keep a valued community publication available to residents, families, and staff every week — at no cost to them.

Local Presence

Your business appears in a publication that reaches residents in their 70s, 80s, and 90s — along with their adult children and grandchildren who receive the digital edition.

Community Recognition

Readers appreciate businesses that support the people and places they care about. Sponsorship is a quiet, consistent way to be known as one of those businesses.

Sponsorship is not a large advertising campaign. It is a small, consistent presence in a publication people genuinely read — offered at a price that reflects the community it serves.

More Than Advertising

Sponsorship is a simple and meaningful way to support a publication that residents, families, and staff enjoy — while maintaining a consistent presence within the community.

Questions About Sponsorship

Everything you need to know before applying.

Who receives The Buzz?

The Buzz is distributed weekly to residents, families, and staff of Beehive Homes of Huntingburg. It reaches people of multiple generations — from residents in their 70s, 80s, and 90s to their adult children and grandchildren who receive the digital edition.

How often is The Buzz published?

Since July 2023, The Buzz has been a trusted part of community life. Published weekly in both print and digital formats, it provides a consistent way for residents, families, and staff to stay connected while offering sponsors ongoing visibility within the community.

What does my sponsor placement include?

Your sponsor placement is a designed card on the Hive Highlights page — one of the most-read sections of the newsletter. It includes your business name, a short description or tagline, and your contact information. The same card appears in both the print and digital editions.

Can I customize my sponsor card?

Yes. When you apply, you'll share your business name, a short description, and the contact information you'd like to include. I design the card to fit the newsletter's aesthetic while representing your business clearly and professionally.

What kinds of businesses are a good fit?

Any local business that serves or values the senior community and their families is a natural fit. Sponsors have included small businesses, service providers, and community-focused organizations. If you serve families, provide home services, or simply want to be known as a business that supports your community — this is a meaningful way to do that.

How do I apply?

Click the "Apply to Sponsor" button on this page to complete a short Google Form. I'll review your information and follow up within 48 hours to confirm your placement and collect your business details. You'll receive a proof of your sponsor card before your first issue goes out.

Can I cancel or change my package?

Monthly sponsors (Golden Hive) may cancel at any time with notice before their next billing period. Quarterly and annual packages are commitments for the full term. The one-time Honey Drop package has no ongoing commitment.

How do I pay?

Payment details are shared after you submit your application and I confirm your spot. I'll follow up with payment options and next steps within 48 hours of receiving your application.
